Flag[edit]

I'm sorry, I don't know why the flag isn't appearing as a thumbnail.

organization of the 7th Pa Reg. during Rev. War[edit]

The 7th was "organized from veterans and new recruits over the winter of 1776-77 and served until Jan 17, 1781 when it was disbanded to comply with general orders from Washington". Commanders we: Col Wm Irvine c. Nov 1776-may 1779; Lieut Col. Morgan Conner May 1779-Jan 1780; Maj James Parr Jan 1780- Aug 1780 and Lieut. Col. Josiah Harmar Aug 9, 1780-Jan 1781. <"Encyclopedia of Continental Army Units. Battalions, Regiments and Independent Corps" by Fred Anderson Berg, page 97>

Is there another source that could be used to find out where the 7th started, who were it's commanders and when it was disbanded? Berg gives no indication that the 7th merged with any other regiment or battalion at the end of the war. Is Berg not a reliable source to use? Gravelady (talk) 19:30, 20 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
