Deleting content from Hartlepool[edit]

I have left your deletion of the "The Town" paragraph in the article, assuming that it has been taken word-for-word from a website you are connected with. However, you cannot possibly claim ownership over a list of restaurants and attractions in Hartlepool and so I have restored that content.  OzLawyer / talk  17:35, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

On my website I have a list of those restaurants word for word and in those exact categories - it has obviously been cut and pasted from my site.

I also have a list of the attractions, word for word and in the exact same categories as used here.

I'm sorry but this must be removed, it took me a lot of hard work to create and I'm not going to allow it to be copied - especially since a link to my website keeps being removed!

I have again removed the offending text and replaced it with a small paragraph instead, if it happens again I will contact wiki's copyright department and go through it that way.

Oh and I can claim copyright to a list - see yellow pages, everything they hold is copyright!

Actually, several of the lists have been modified by me, so they're not directly stripped. Aside from that, they are very basic lists--no originality was required to create them. A search through the Yellow Pages, as you mention, would presumably be enough to find the information to recreate them. They may, in fact, not even really be appropriate for the article, but if they are determined to be, I think that they are not copyright infringement. If you want to contact copyright department, go for it.  OzLawyer / talk  22:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Further question: What category would you expect one to put a Chinese restaurant into? Is your argument that since you placed The Chinese Buffet King into a list of Chinese restaurants on your website, nobody else can do such a thing without copyright infringement?  OzLawyer / talk  22:27, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Deleting content from TBI Solicitors[edit]

Please do not remove sourced content from Wikipedia, as you did with TBI Solicitors -- this is vandalism.

Furthermore, your IP address geolocates to "TILLY BAILEY & IRVINE" which suggests that you have a conflict of interest in removing criticism of the firm from Wikipedia. I suggest that you familiarise yourself with that policy before editing this particular article any further. --Rlandmann (talk) 09:46, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Copyright problem[edit]

I've also removed a large chunk of text from the TBI Solicitors article that was copied-and-pasted from the thisishartlepool website. This creates a potential copyright problem for Wikipedia. --Rlandmann (talk) 11:01, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
