Improving the article[edit]

This article needs to talk about the history, founders, sub-genres, and famous artists of the art form. 66.229.182.113 15:41, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Proposed merger[edit]

This article has not improved in ten years. It overlaps with the much better-written Animal painter (to which "Animal painting" redirects), claiming that the Neolithic paintings at Lascaux are "Wildlife art". Given the lack of content and citations, and the risk of use for advertising, it would seem best to treat "Wildlife art" as another name (basically, 20th century) for Animal painting, and to merge the articles. Given the lack of improvement (or interest), I think the time has come to carry out the merge, which I'll now boldly do. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:52, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
