Copyright for Image:Muslims population.gif[edit]
Hi. This image you uploaded (Image:Muslims population.gif) says that it is copyright with all rights reserved. The link which is supposed to point to the permission to reproduce the image does not appear to mention anything which gives permission. Could you please identify where it says that the image can reproduced for any purpose, otherwise (especially given the copyright text on the image, and the notices above on this page) I think it may be fair to assume that no permission has been given. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 08:08, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- And the same question applies to Image:Karachi-1993.jpg. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 08:13, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed you have uploaded this image again, and manufactured a false licence for it. The correct licence is provided here. It says that it is licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 2.5 License. This qualifies it for speedy deletion under CSD I3 because it is not a free image. If you continue to upload this image with false copyright information, or continue disrespecting copyright in any other way, you are likely to be blocked. See Wikipedia:Copyright for more information. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:12, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Clearing/archiving talk page[edit]
WP:VAND states:
Deleting the comments of other users from article Talk pages, aside from removal of internal spam, or deleting entire sections of talk pages, is generally considered vandalism. Removing personal attacks is often considered legitimate, and it is considered acceptable to archive an overly long Talk page to a separate file and then remove the text from the main Talk page. The above does not apply to the user's own Talk page, where users generally are permitted to remove and archive comments at their discretion, except in cases of legitimate warnings, which they are generally prohibited from removing, especially where the intention of the removal is to mislead other editors.
Feel free to archive your talk page, but quit trying to wipe it. See: Wikipedia:How_to_archive_a_talk_page MrZaiustalk 13:52, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
help with islam in china[edit]
i want your help with islam in china some islamaphobic people are deleting my rerences on the muslim population in china
- Assalamalaikum Madman 0014 - I just had a quick read of the article and it looks pretty interesting, it's seems that China has a very rich Islamic heritage - Sa`d ibn Abī Waqqās (a companion of the Prophet SAW) was envoy to China!
- I will inshallah see if I can contribute where possible (and necessary) next week as I'm too busy to get involved in a WikiRow just now. I will at least want to put greater emphasis on the history of Muslims in China in the lead section. In terms the population aspect you mentioned, I will only really help if it is justified - I was previously involved in population stuff on the Islam article but now I place less emphasis in getting across the number of Muslims (or increases) but now want to get across the beliefs/message of the religion against the tide of systemic bias. Islam In India[edit]
You have changed the percentage and population of Muslims in India without giving any credible reference. The census of India in 2001 reported Muslim constitute 13.4% of the population and number 138 million. Reference http://www.censusindia.net/religiondata/Summary%20Muslims.pdf. The Muslims constitute over 97% of Pakistan's population of 166 million people and number 161 million and are the second largest Muslim population in the world. I reverting your changes. ArsalanKhan 13:27, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- indian muslim population
- from the time of independence of india to the current day the indian leaders have said that the muslim population of india is greater than that of pakistan. we should remember that bangladesh was also a part of pakistn before 1971.and in that year the population of west pakistan (that is the current day pakistan) was 80 milliom and that of east pakistan (that is the current day bangladesh) was 90 million if we add that we get apopulation of 170 million in 1971 of which 90% were muslim or 153 million . so how many muslims are today in india ?
- Your information is historical and is irrelevant to this discussion. We are talking about the most recent census of India and its reports of Muslim population in India. I would suggest that must refer to most recent census data of Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. Please include links to the websites and/or names of books, magazines or newspapers that you obtain your figures.
- ArsalanKhan 15:36, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- the latest census shows the population as follows from wikipedia
- bangladesh 147,365,352 muslims 88%
- pakistan 165,803,560 muslims 98%
- india 1,080,264,388 muslim ?%
- almost all of the sources say that the indian muslim population is higher than given by the goverment.
you can find thiese sources on the net to.
- You have to give references to your sources and I will give references to my sources. My source is Reference http://www.censusindia.net/religiondata/Summary%20Muslims.pdf. It clearly states that Muslim constitute 13.4% of the Indian population.
- 16:01, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Your reference gives different data about Muslims in India:
- http://www.themodernreligion.com/quotations_muslims_india.htm claims 150 million Muslims in India;
- http://www.irib.ir/worldservice/englishradio/ISLAM/muslindia.htm claims 200 million Muslims in India;
- http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4235999.stm claims 200 million Muslims in India;
- http://www.islamicpopulation.com/asia_islam.html claims 220 million Muslims in India;
- http://www.islamicpopulation.com/asia_islam.html claims 20% or 200 million Muslims in India;
- http://www.islamicpopulation.com/asia_islam.html claims 20% or 200 million Muslims in India;
- http://www.islamawareness.net/Asia/India 120 million Muslims in India;
- While you are claiming 175 million without any reference.
- Which figure is right ? These figures contradict each other. The census figure must be used with a note that Muslim percentage could be higher. You are continously reverting the refernce changes. I think this issue should be reported to Wikipedia so that the correct and reliable figure be used.

Your edit on "Karachi"...[edit]
Hi, I have some concerns on the edit you made in the "Problems" page of the "Karachi" page on October 13, 2006. I would like to change the "Pervez Musharraf" (you should hopefully know very well what I am talking about) back to "Naimatullah Khan" since I think it is better to credit someone who personally runs the city for improvements. Thanx.. Birdeditor 20:49, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:TongxinAHG.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:TongxinAHG.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 19:26, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 30[edit]
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Islam in India[edit]
Hi, I just reverted your edit that added the figure of 177 million Muslims. This figure comes from rediff.com, which does not qualify as a rigorous source. If you have further questions, please discuss this on the talk page. Cheers, Vanamonde93 (talk) 16:32, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
- the figures from Indian census 2011 are unavilable so wahy not this ? after all this quotes are from a closer date
- Please read WP:RS. rediff does not qualify as a good enough source. Also, rediff itself says the number is from the census; but as you pointed out, the census number is not available, so where is rediff's number coming from? regardless, you need a better source.
