An IP address posted the same spamlinks yesterday and I unblocked the user after their assurance they would not continue. See User talk:80.36.126.124. They seem to have obtained a user name and now continued with the same spamlinks. This is a breach of trust and block is for 7 days. Tyrenius 20:48, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Request reason:

our additions were not meant to be spam. my colleague here at the gallery was helping me, so it is not the same user with a different username. in any case, the intention is to make interesting artwork images and additional biographical information (including lists of exhibitions artists have had) available to wikipedia users. it is my understanding that this is something that other galleries have done, as well. an additional note: i would like to point out this link as an example of precedent where galleries link to artists they represent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Lichtenstein is it acceptable if we include ourselves under representing galleries? as for the "products derived from magritte art" link on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magritte, the linked page seems to have NO informational value for the wikipedia user, whereas our website does provide interesting and useful additional information.

Decline reason:

Your block isn't permanent, it will expire in a week. When it expires, feel free to continue editing. Check out Wikipedia:External links for our policy on including links to outside sites. There is a lot of linkspam on Wikipedia, and you have probably seen some examples of it while looking around, but two wrongs doesn't make a right: those examples should be fixed.
