Accuracy and bias?[edit]
I'm not usually one to care about minor details, but a few thoughts. This is the first time I've heard that batteries were thrown on the field. I know other events involved Batteries and Snowballs (thrown at the Raiders in Mile High Stadium, for example). Furthermore, its not mentioned in the external links. Speaking of the external links, the first link has a clear bias (which should at least be mentioned). The second link is just dead, though, and needs to be replaced. 68.82.58.216 04:40, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- In 1989 it was widely reported and recognized in Philadelphia that during the game, batteries were embedded within snowballs and hurled onto the field. Unfortunately not many Philadelphia newspaper articles of that year remain publically available on the web as a reference point. Though mentions in sports forums and blogs are omni-present.
Possible explanation for snowball aimed at broadcast team[edit]
Anyone think it's possible that Verne Lundquist was targeted by the Eagles fans because, prior to joining CBS, he did play-by-play for the Cowboys? WAVY 10 20:26, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
