Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. AfD Nomination: Daniel Sosa[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Daniel Sosa meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

A tag has been placed on Ricky rohaidy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

Copyright issue with Mary Machado[edit]

I'm afraid that we cannot use text with the permission you describe at Talk:Mary Machado. The author would have to release the text into the public domain under the GFDL, which allows the work to be "edited mercilessly" - few authors are prepared to do this. Also, as a member of the family you have a conflict of interest and should not edit the article directly, although if an independent editor does create an article you are welcome to suggest changes on Talk. You can request an article by citing the sources at Wikipedia:Requested articles, if you state that you are a family member and thus can't create the article yourself then someone may well be prepared to help out. Meanwhile, Wikipedia has one and a half million articles, about 90% of which could use some work, so please do click Special:Random and be bold in fixing some of them up :-) Guy (Help!) 20:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
