Date/place of birth[edit]

Des Smith was born in 1945 or 1946. Can anyone source his exact date and place of birth, please? TerriersFan 18:50, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

References - consistent style[edit]

Please use the style of <ref>[URL 'title'], source, date</ref> for references rather than inline references. Mixing styles looks unprofessional. TerriersFan 16:06, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Page move[edit]

There has been an undiscussed page move, from the long-established title, to Desmond P Smith. This is contrary to WP:NCP. Firstly, as stated, "Most biographical articles have titles in the form <First name> <Last name>". Secondly, it states "The name used most often to refer to a person in reliable sources is generally the one that should be used as the article title even if it is not the person's "real" name,". Here, reliable sources invariably refer to him as 'Des Smith' not 'Desmond Smith'. Just Chilling (talk) 17:58, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
