Cindy Andrie (b 1974) calls Victoria, British Columbia, Canada home.
Born in Fort Langley, her family moved to a small 24 acre island known as Dayman island, where she grew up.
This island held just her family, animals, and shell fish farm. Learning to cope with wind power, small wells of water, and taking a boat to school on Thetis Island Cindy learned different set of values, as well as a passion for the ocean, both of which are uncommon in her generation.
Cindy's family moved to Sidney, British Columbia to provide her and her brother the opportunities that might not otherwise be available to her.
Learning to play the Tenor Saxophone in high school propelled Cindy's love for music, and inspired her to write and play all types of music – especially jazz.
After graduating high school, Cindy studied to become a Computer repair technician, and worked for many years in that field. She still enjoys tinkering on her own PC on almost a daily basis.
After laser eye surgery Cindy decided to follow up with a dream she always had which was held back by her vision… Becoming a Professional Association of Diving Instructors Instructor and SCUBA diving. Since then, Cindy has been SCUBA diving for years, enjoying the ocean as she had when she was a child.
Since then, Cindy has held odd jobs, and been fighting with the question 'where to go from here?' Lately she has been working at a Call center trying to make ends meet in a town whose job market is not in the favor of the employee.
Recently Cindy has rediscovered her love for writing, photography, and music, and she wants to get back in touch with her creative side, now aspiring to make photography, writing, and music her profession,
Launching her blog, Cinderella's Blog, in 2003, her writing was taken to a new level. With this site, Cindy talks about everything from personal experiences, insight, and feelings, to reviews on technology, and all things in between. Cindy hopes that one day she will be able to use this medium to launch a career in writing – whether novels, or magazine review/articles.
In 2005 with a new Nikon D70s and her Flickr Account Cindy started to launch her career in photography. She takes pictures wherever, and whenever she can – hoping one day to sell that 'perfect picture' to someone who wants it.
Cindy reads all she can on the subjects - causing growth in her fields of aspiration, and she hungers for more education. Currently Cindy still maintains Cinderella's Blog, as well as her Flickr Account to continue her pursuit of a freelance career in photography and writing.
Cindy will be traveling the world this year, and will be writing a book of articles with pictures on the subject of traveling the world – how anyone on any budget can travel.
