On World Rally Championship 2006 results, both [[Dani Sordo]] and [[Daniel Sordo]] were Wikilinked, although the latter didn't exist. "Dani Sordo" gets 143,000 Google hits, "Daniel Sordo" gets 134,000 (tested 2006-07-19). On WRC.com, he's profiled as Dani, but his website is Danielsordo.com. So which name to choose as the "dominant" one, and which to be the redirect? Wikipedia precedent doesn't help - Dani Pedrosa redirects to Daniel Pedrosa, but Tony Blair (a featured article) goes with the abbreviated name. Couldn't find a definitive WP:style guideline, so decided to do the simplest thing ~ Dani is marginally more popular and already exists in Wikipedia, so Daniel redirects. -- DeLarge 08:39, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
