Requested move 30 May 2020[edit]

Sienna, Texas → Sienna Plantation – Sienna Plantation recently changed their name to Sienna. However, Sienna Plantation is still the WP:COMMONNAME for the place. Per WP:NAMECHANGE, "If the reliable sources written after the change is announced routinely use the new name, Wikipedia should follow suit and change relevant titles to match." Local news still refers to this place as Sienna Plantation. KPRC, KXAN, KHOU, KPRC again, KPRC again again, KHOU again. The name change happened some time in 2019, and all these sources are from 2020.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 20:29, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

  • Move to Sienna Plantation, Texas to comply with WP:USPLACE. Even some of these sources that the OP cited above use "Sienna Plantation, Texas" in their datelines. Zzyzx11 (talk) 05:24, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
    • I did not know WP:USPLACE is a thing. In that case, you're absolutely correct, it should be Sienna Plantation, Texas. I'm not sure I can edit the move request to reflect this because I'm not sure how this affects the listing on WP:RM.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 05:37, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
