Regarding edits by 81.102.242.148[edit]
On the 8th of July, the following was added, below the templates, and the category information:
- note that there was never a genesis release for california games 2 and yet it was released on the master system, a very strange desision by sega.
I removed it, due to feeling that it wasn't relevant, and also that it was badly worded and out of place. The following day, the same user added the following, again at the very bottom of the article:
- no megadrive version of california games in existance unless this assertion can later be actually shown to be incorrect
This was edited, the next minute, just to correct the title of the game (mentioning it was the sequel, rather than the original), and to surround the title with quotation marks. Not immediately realising it was by the same user (I realised this after I removed the sentence though), I removed it, and added a note of "Not only was this added in the wrong place, but it was inappropriate, and there is no statement of a MD version anyway." in the edit summary. And then, earlier today, the 18th of July, the same user added the following:
- the fact that california games 2 was never released on the megadrive is an important fact if it is true and should only be removed if there is a replacement statement to the contrary
I then removed the sentence again, and in the edit summary referred to this page. I write this immediately after making the most recent edit. Here is my opinion on the matter: The fact that the game was not released on the Mega drive/Genesis is not relevant to the article, in my opinion. Do we add on the Halo 2 article that it was not released on the Xbox 360? Do we add that there are many ryth games that came out only for the PlayStation, and not for the PlayStation 2? Not only that, but these contributions are badly worded, the last entry especially, which is self-referential. You say "should only be removed if there is a replacement statement to the contrary", but noone is arguing that it did come out on the Mega Drive. There is no need to mention that a particular game didn't come out on a particular system. If you feel that I am wrong about this, please feel free to state your reasons below, without forgetting to sign your post. --Dreaded Walrus 16:59, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
