Thanks[edit]

Thank you, I appreciate your efforts to cool everything down. Cheers, TewfikTalk 21:12, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't mention it. I believe that the dispute between you and Cerejota isn't your fault any more than it is his, and would like to see it end in a nice way :-). And thanks for the article about Ma'anit (by the way, I wrote part of the Hebrew article you translated it from). Oh, and as you probably have noticed already, I gave you a Barnstar (and I gave Cerejota one, too, for the efforts made by both of you to improve the article) :] Tamuz (Talk) 22:51, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Re:Mediation with Cerejota[edit]

I do agree that forgetting about hostilities, even if you think you are in the right (as most of us usually do, regardless of whether we objectively are), is usually the best solution. The reason that I am hesitant to do so in this case is as follows: While I believe that I ignored what I viewed as Cerejota's inappropriate statements towards me for a while, he continued to make them, and I fear that he may continue afterwards, though I acknowledge that this process may result in their cessation, no matter who was correct. Second, though now of equal importance, the continuous claims of harassment (which I view as harassment) are very bothersome. While I again believe it may be possible that they will cease of their own accord after this chapter is ended, I feel, perhaps grounded in emotion I admit, that I should not apologise for something which I strongly believe cannot even be proved I commit, if only to prevent similar claims from appearing from this or other users. While the process is tedious and a waste of all of our time, I feel I should let it progress a little longer, at least to the point where the major claims can be examined by the mediator. As of now GtoG has requested that Cerejota provide difs.

I appreciate your presence here and your wish to cut short the conflict, and I am open to more messages like this, and any other comments or critiques. I realise that no man is absolutely objective, myself included, and that we all have the (frequent) penchant for making mistakes. I also realise that Cerejota is not some evil person out to get me, but probably believes with as much conviction as I in the justice of his claims. Thanks for helping to keep us honest. An interesting thing[edit]

We call the summer "Tomos or Tomoz" in our turkish language.

Yeah, I know. Tammuz is the name of the first month of summer in both the Jewish and the Islamic calendars. Its called after the ancient Canaanian deity Tammuz, who was a god of bloom and prosperity. According to legend, he descended to hell every year, resulting in the decay of all flora and vegetation, thus bringing summer. His believers lamented his annual "death" during the month of July. The month Tammuz is so called because of all of the ceremonial "funerals" held for him during that time. Tamuz (Talk) 13:11, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Movement literacy[edit]

Hi,

Sorry, but i proposed the article Movement literacy for deletion. An unpublished thesis is not good enough as a source. If it would be published, it would be fine.

As it is now, the article shall probably be deleted within a week, unless you can cite other sources.

When the thesis is published, contact me and i shall restore it.

Thanks for understanding. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 18:18, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Was wondering if you could provide some guidance[edit]

I noticed that you put up a lot of the pictures onto Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could assist me a bit in understanding the process of putting up these images.Barrett Kinsella (talk) 15:48, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Hello Barrett, I don't know if it's still relevant, but I didn't exactly understand your request. Do you need my assistance in using the pictures I've uploaded (and which pictures, exactly)? Or do you need to upload your own pictures? Anyway, I'd be glad to help. Tamuz (Talk) 09:17, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
