Hi Haayaa,

Welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed that you have been removing Wade-Giles from many China-related pages. It is true that Wade-Giles is no longer used in China; however, Wade-Giles remains in many older publications, and Wade-Giles is done so that our readers, most of whom do not know Chinese and are probably unfamiliar with different Romanization systems, can still keep track of Chinese place names. It does not mean that Wikipedia is implying or endorsing the continued usage of Wade-Giles in contexts exterior to Wikipedia.

Thanks!

Hi,

Like I said before, please do not remove Wade-Giles. WG is very useful to our readers, especially those who do not know Chinese.

Thanks.
