Czolo[edit]

Anonymous IPs are adding additional pseudonym for Darski, Czolo. Please provide reliable references for this addition since there are no GHITS [1] [2]. Thanks. Visor (talk) 09:22, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Till 1993 Darsky's nickname was "Holocausto" (group's name was "Baphomet"), but he changed it to be more politically correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.204.111.100 (talk) 14:32, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Vocal style[edit]

Perhaps the article should describe the transformation in his vocal style over the course of Behemoth's career, from black metal shrieks early on, to the DM snarls he uses today? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.209.118.29 (talk) 23:07, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Utter Nonsense.[edit]

It's not advanced to the point where chemo is worthless, and he'll be getting a transplant before the end of the year. http://www.metalinjection.net/latest-news/behemoth-bassist-offers-update-nergals-leukemia 108.15.17.159 (talk) 18:28, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Good point. I'll update the page immediately. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 18:44, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

grammar and time[edit]

I appreciate that much of the article which talks of his leukaemia was written nearer the time of Nergal's illness, but the use of the present-perfect is now confusing. Is there any chance of it being revised so the reader now knows the current extent of his recovery? example: to say Nergal "has been" admitted into hospital, suggests it is recent.... but then we find it was over 7 months ago. (79.190.69.142 (talk) 09:03, 12 December 2011 (UTC))

Thank you for pointing this out. I have corrected the respective tenses, and I hope that it looks nice now. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 01:08, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
You're welcome. However, the ending is still a bit confusing. Is there still a worry about whether the infection will affect his marrow. I think the bit about the article needs past-tense reported speech. Considering his recent participation in "Voice of Poland", I guess it's a lot better (but I don't know for sure). Sorry, I'm not knocking your work, just trying to help.

May I suggest:

However, Nergal was readmitted to the hematology division of Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne (UCK) in Gdansk after he developed an infection six weeks after he underwent the bone marrow transplant procedure. It was not immediately clear if the infection would affect Nergal's adoption of the bone marrow transplant and how long he would have to remain in hospital.[15] On 30 March 2011, MetalSucks published an interview with Nergal where he said that his health was improving. He had been out of the hospital for few weeks, and everything was going according to plan.

(79.190.69.142 (talk) 22:04, 15 December 2011 (UTC))

All right, I guess I missed a few spots on the page initially. I did change the text area in question to something similar to your suggestion. I also added the Metalsucks source, which was mentioned but not actually sourced beforehand. Thanks for the input. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 06:35, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Great. Like I said, I wasn't trying to step on your work, I just didn't know the details myself. I appreciate your work on this. (79.190.69.142 (talk) 13:39, 16 December 2011 (UTC))

Edit warring[edit]

There has been an edit war taking place on this article. That could have been prevented. I've seen all the edits, yet what is really being feuded about? I will say this though: bare URLs are not recommended for Wikipedia, and neither is the removal of reliable sources. I have donated very little to the feud, but I have noticed that not a whole lot of communication has happened between the two main editors, although it has been at least tried. In the meantime, I will submit this page for protection, so that there can be a reduced risk of this edit war happening (hopefully). Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 21:37, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

I have stated that I only removed the sources that were obviously not referencing the content. On the contrary, DingirXul removed a source for Darski and Doda breaking up. And I have been the only one who tried to communicate. --217/83 19:44, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
I saw that you did try communicating with DingirXul, and the only response from the guy was "stop removing sources" in edit summaries. That was what I indirectly referenced when I said "...it has been at least tried". With that said, if communication is effectively passed between the conflicting parties, then further edit warring can be avoided. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 01:15, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Okay, but you may understand why I reacted that way when you wrote "and neither is the removal of reliable sources" (I may not have noticed "I have donated very little to the feud"; what does that mean, is that a kind of slang or regional talk for "I haven't paid much attention to it" or something like that? I don't know the verb donate in such a context). By the way, it is starting again. --217/83 19:12, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I think this should be discussed here and not on the users' talk pages. What exactly is wrong with the source(s) used? — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 22:25, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

As written on my talk page and stated numerous times during the edit war, DingirXul's footnotes seem not to back up the contents they are supposed to; if they do, DingirXul should add a quote to every footnote to prove me wrong, and I would like some Polish third party user to check the edits. --217/83 22:35, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
I see that the feud has come back again, which is unfortunate. When I said that I haven't "donated" much to the feud, I meant that I have not given much of a contribution to the feud in terms of editing. Also, DingirXul has started communicating, albeit at not the most convenient time (because earlier would have been nice; also, the "stop removing sources" remark wasn't effective). Now, as long as they are reliable, I don't have an issue with the Polish language sources, although I don't know Polish, and a translated page would be cool; I don't have a problem with them as long as the statements on this page are corroborated by the sources. If it's true that Darski went by the pseudonym of "Howlin' De Ville" in the past, then I would like to see additional sources to corroborate that.` With that said, reporting this issue was not a bad idea if you ask me, although maybe it could go to the the administrator's noticeboard. Sources[edit]

And the parts accessible without having registered don't back up this name, nor any of the other removed content. I have stated that numerous times. --217/83 22:41, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Oh, right. Sourcing pages that require registration is not quite kosher on Wikipedia, especially if the registration costs money (I haven't checked whether or not this source has free or paid registration). If the site requires registration in order to be seen, then it probably shouldn't be cited on Wikipedia. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 22:44, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
WP:ELREG, the source is fine. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 22:48, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I don't understand why you're saying the source doesn't "seem to" back up the claims? — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 22:50, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I wrote "seem to" because of the needed registration; I checked every site before removing it, and I couldn't find any of the alleged content; but as DingirXul's comment implied there might be information available once you are registered, I wrote "seem to" and demanded a quote for everything the sites allegedly back up. --217/83 23:10, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Okay, although it may not be an ideal first choice, as the guideline states, I stand corrected. Also, about the "seem to" sentiment, I won't argue for or against that, since that's not quite what I've been focusing on here. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 22:53, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Wait, we're not doubting the Holocausto nickname, are we? Which statement is being questioned? — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 22:56, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

The nickname is backed up, but not that it was inspired by the Beherit vocalist's pseudonym, Nuclear Holocausto. Darski could as well have been inspired by the band Holocausto from Brazil (great band), or simply refer to the Holocaust as a symbol of destruction. --217/83 23:10, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
edited. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 23:02, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Is heavymusic.pl a reliable source? — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 23:13, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I doubt this to be reliable (I use this word in its true sense and not the very strange way it is used in the "reliable sources" guideline), this just seems to be a site like all those database entries or user-generated sites out there. I would like to see something like a CD booklet or an interview, a kind of official statement by Darski or another member of this band. --217/83 23:15, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

By the way, DingirXul was blocked. --217/83 23:16, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I left them a message. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 23:22, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
The block appears to be appropriate. I'm glad that that was administered instead of having to resort to another full protection. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 06:28, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

AmbaSSada[edit]

Could someone update this page with reliable information about Adam Darski's role in the film AmbaSSada? Thank you in advance. Ásmóðr Vánagandsson (talk) 02:28, 4 January 2014 (UTC)

"Religion: none"[edit]

The source cited only clarifies Darski's theological position but does not confirm his alleged irreligiousity in terms of affiliation, observance or non-theological religious beliefs. Considering his band's heavy use of Western occult-inspired lyrics and his being influenced by Aleister Crowley's works, there's a decent chance that he's a member of a Thelemic order, such as the A∴A∴ or the O.T.O. 213.109.230.96 (talk) 02:13, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

Request for Comments[edit]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:29, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
