Splitting article[edit]
A tag has was placed on this article on June 22, 2006. There has been no explanation or discussion of this on this page. The suggestion is that the article be "split into multiple articles accessible from a disambiguation page."
I'm not sure whether this would be a good idea, or not. I note that there is a book by Marilyn Todd titled I Claudia. I have no idea how notable it is. Most of the google hits on the first page are for the play/movie referenced in this article by Kristen Thomson. I'm not sure whether there is enough for a disambiguation page here. Perhaps we should simply rename the article to: "I Claudia (play)." The only hitch with that is that it is also a movie. This could be solved by keeping the name of this article and creating a new article titled "I Claudia (disambiguation)." That would depend upon there being enough notable subjects on which to base other articles. Comments? Sunray 22:16, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
There is also a jazz band, The Claudia Quintet, that recorded an album titled I, Claudia with the Cuneiform Records label. The record has recieved good reviews. http://cuneiformrecords.com/bandshtml/claudia.html
Oppose split No compelling case or clear support for a split has been advanced. Hadrianheugh (talk) 03:21, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
If and when any of the other things has its own article, this one can be moved to a new title if necessary. But I doubt that's why the tag was applied; I believe it was originally applied under the notion that the Thomson play and movie should have separate articles from each other. For what it's worth, I don't think that would be helpful at all — for one thing, the article is a very short stub that really doesn't have very much content to split at all, and for another, the play and film themselves aren't exactly what I'd call distinct entities: the film isn't really an adaptation, in the sense of having had enough changes worked upon it to qualify as a separate work from its source, but is effectively just the play performed in its original form in front of a camera instead of in a theatre.
